Evoo..... nice cat!

Having a few power boats might be nice for our big group.  Perhaps, we can try using a PB or two as support crafts or motherships to tow a few kayaks around to distant parts of that big lake.

Don't forget to bring your VHF radios and GPS units if you have them.... especially for the bowhunters in the group.  It's easy to get lost around there.

Mooch bring your dive gear. We can make an abalone run saturday or friday morning while the hunters are out making those pigs squeal. Salt Point is about an hour away.

Parking and Launch info.

Launch is open 24hrs so you can launch anytime you want pay $3 at the Kiosk at the entrance to the Main Ramp, camping fees are covered. I park in the lot by the Kiosk it has Video Surveillance if you park in a trailer spot without one you will be cited. If you want to launch at the Marina it's $10 per day so you have to pay for Fri and Sat $20.

Hunters may self-register only after they are issued a parking/boating hunting pass, which must be done before hand or you have to wait till the Visitor Ctr opens. Self registration will consist of filling out their name and vehicle/ vessel hunting pass number as well as date in and date out of the park. This check in process can be done before or after hours at the visitor center. Visitor Ctr opens at 8:30.

Sunrise is at 7:25 so I will be launching at 6:30 then trolling between the Marina and the Dam for a couple of hours before heading up the East-side of the lake fishing my way to the Camp.

If you have gear that you want to go in a PB PM them to hook-up, I will be self contained.

Mike~ if we park at the main launch(dam area right?) we have to let them know we are camping at FalconNest? and pay 3$ for each day we are parked there?
If this is it? I plan to do the same your doing....maybe fish the dam area for a while, then load up and make the paddle.
Is my assumption correct?

Nope you don't have to, parking is free you only have to pay $3 once. You can write camping on your ticket but it is not required(why let somebody know you will be parked there overnite).

If you park at Yorty(much longer paddle) you have to wait till 8:30 to get an overnite parking pass at the Rec Ctr.and let them know you are camping then you shouldn't have to pay the $3.

Not going to be able to join but I did find a recent report on another site regarding the lake.  It may or may not be useful.

Good luck gentlemen and be safe.
