Just an aside, you might want to ditch the boots while on the yak... 

FisHunter - Thanks, I do not believe in keeping secrets when fishing. I believe in keeping an open mind and learning a few things. I enjoy hearing about everyone's fishing success, not to mention all the things I have gleaned from reading various posts on this site.

mickfish - I was fishing the pointer with a steady return on all of my hookups. I know it is meant to be fished with a twitching/jerking motion, but the steady return has been working for me.

Eric B - I hear you. I don't want to end up at the bottom of the river because I was dragged down by my heavy boots. I am currently looking for some good waders and/or water shoes/boots.
