Aren't "potatos" spelled with an "e"?

Been looking for ways to eat healthier and got a suggestion from da boss. If you enjoy rice as much as I do, try this instead.

We only die once so...eat what you love to eat.  If you do regularly exercise like kayak fishing, there'll be no problem with eating rice  :smt003

Is rice bad? Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but there are billions of people that live on rice everyday. Is it a diabetic thing?

Quinoa has a complete set of amino acids - rare in a plant.  With rice you need something else to compliment, such as beans.

If you've never tried it, get some and try it.  Cooks faster and tastes better.

I use it for filler in some home made sausages.  I used to use brown rice but I pretty much use only quinoa now.  Smoked quinoa abalone sausages at GS6 a'comin.

Except steer clear of raw milk products unless you want to hasten that once in a lifetime death event

Quinoa's great!! Glad you found it, rice is nice, but a lot of sugar and not too great for you.  My mother in law makes a cold quinoa salad with shrimp and mint and cilantro, lime, etc... can't be beat!

I have a love-hate relationship with Quinoa.  The grain itself tastes pretty good, has a nice texture, and is lower in simple carbs than most grains.

However, Quinoa is a gateway grain to evangelical vagitarianism.
