Went to bed late last night with a delta wind forecast of something like 5-10 kts,
good forecast, it's been calm for days, figured it was about ready to blow.

Woke up at 5, new wind forecast 15-25 with possible gale force tonite

Had to go look,  I hate the wind.

I know those conditions all too well.  :smt012

You should have headed up river and hit some of the sloughs.

I actually did fish today,  went east to Bacon Is, and as you might guess it was dead flat calm,

but (now I hope I'm not barred from the site)

I was too LAZY by then to pull the yak off the truck, and I FISHED off the BANK :smt009 :smt009 :smt009

Fished for just a couple hours, then went home and did yard work so it won't get in the way later.

Caught stripers to 14", catfish, and even a 10" LMB on the bottom in about 30' of water.

I have been known to tie off to tules cast out and take a nap on the yak so no worries about the bank fishing.

Taking a nooner with a line in the water, that is awesome!!!  The hard part would be trying to remember not to make any sudden movements if you are startled awake.... :smt001

I nap on either my FND or marauder. I commend the guys who nap on the skinnier boats.
