I was on foot when I caught it  .
Fishing was okay, I hooked 3 fish in 3 days, only landed the one.

wow, i thought those were extinct!

Can you imagine how much danger your life would be in trying to kayak out in front of that mob?!!  Screw the deadly currents and breakers just west of there in the ocean - you'd be a dead man if you trolled through there!!!

Just upstream of the mob, where the water speeds up on the outgo, you can pull your spinners no problem. And hook fish too. Landing them is the problem. When you hook up in the kayak the crowd is pretty respectful, encouraging at times. It's the guys that aren't aware that tend to cast over your line when you're fighting a fish.
It's all fun. I'd rather lose a fish than do laundry.
