Damn it was hot out there today. Tried jigging some bait at the peirs for nada, headed for deeper water trolling the sabiki and wham goes a 13 inch smelt, pinned him on and drifted to the bridge and back for nada. One of these days...

Did you snell that first red hook for the stinger? looks like a regular sinch/uni knot. does that work with load on the tag end?

Trilene knot. The drag is soooo loose its not an issue.

saw a couple of guys the other day- actually about 2 months back or more- surfing the wake from the ferry-- they sauntered in right up close to that fast moving monster in big closed decks yaks, hit the first wake and SURFED....endlessly I'm serious they had to ride that wake a few hundred yards at least....
