Went to Stampede Dam in Truckee with my Dad for a little end of the season Koke fishing over the holiday weekend.  7 kokes, 3 rainbows and 1 very small, smallmouth bass.  Basically blown off the lake by 9 am daily.  The wind just freakin howled.  Checked out the new Cabela's in Boomtown on Sunday afternoon.  Pretty nice, but not as impressive as the Lehi Utah store.  Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend.

Dave, I'm headed over to fish that lake next week.  Did you use a downrigger? if so how deep.  What type of stuff did you use to catch the fish.  Any tips will help....Thank you....Jim

Dave Iv'e fished that lake for 28 yrs and do well most of the time. Way to go! you should have dove and speared after the wind came up. During the drought years DFG went in an shocked up for a fish count and had two browns over 30 lbs!
