Irresistable looking halibut tides.   I just might have to partake.  A BBQ afterwards sounds cool too.

Probably dead smelt, still attached to a 3-way.

As long as the 3-way involves a blond, a brunette and myself, itll be a great addition to the barbie , I wont complain about the dead smelt, and I may even come up with some creative uses for it

I had made plans already for Saturday, but the tides are looking way too good to pass up so I may take a hit to the WAF to try and make this one.    If I do end up foolish enough to tempt WAF fate, is this the launch site? I've never fished ARW before and want to be sure I get to the right place.

I've got the go ahead from the boss, so I'll be there tomorrow. I'm also thinking I may swing by Berkeley on my way down and pick up some chovies. I'm not sure how well they will last on the ride down, but I suspect there should be enough to pass a few along to fellow yakkers.

I'd be willing to split a scoop of chovies with yer. Heck if you pick 'em up I'd happliy pay for 'em! Or else I could meet you there and we could immediately split them into two big aerated coolers to maximize their survival.

Of course I am full confident in Sharkys bait-catching skills and his ability to educate me......but......it's always nice to have a sure thing...............

I'll have the chovies in a large cooler with two aerators, which should be fine. I'm not really positive when the bait guy opens, so I can't promise chovies, but if he is open at 5:30 then I'll have some! Otherwise, it's the sabiki and pile worms for me!

Ive used about 15 gal o water in a cooler(3 buckets) without any airation for a dock scoop from berk. to ARW.almost 100per cent survival.. getting water at berk can be a pain/clambr over the rocks. Otherwise get water at the sailclub floating dock...close parking...better yet at the ramp.

How would you keep the anchovies alive while kayaking? I have one of those floating bucket but I think they might not be big enough to keep them alive.
I appreciate the feed back . I putting some new mono on my new reel for the
trip tomorrow.

I have only done it a couple of times but I had no problem keeping chovies alive in a frabill towed behind my yak. I think a lot depends on the quality of the chovies at the start. The ones from Berkeley have been up and down this year.
