Standby... uploading that picture of Adam.....

The Bean didn't put out much for me.  I caught a 19-1/2" cabbie and released a handful of blacks.

I'm bummed about general sad state of fishing at the Bean.  I'm reminiscing about the good ol' days like a salty old timer.

On the bright side, I got a chance to fish with the Friday fishermen - EricB and Fishunter.  I hope to fish with you guys more often!

Damn those salt water fish are ugly beasts!  Look at the blue mouth on that thing...the LMB I have been catching are so cute, like little friendly pet fishies, compared to those sea creatures.

Actually, the colors on the salty fish are cool (I'm just jealous).

Congrats FH...super report and pics as always.

DOOD!...there AIN'T no lippin' happening on these things....just look at them teethesis'
..you gotta get them behind the gill-plate(not inbetween) ..I learned the hard way, they have sharp barbs that won't let the prey slip through...and they slice&dice your fingers when pulling them out....along with some infection of coarse.

Thanks for the compliments!...just trying to entertain myself as well :smt003

Nice rigging on the Candy, Adam. Is that the tried and true Ben (Guitarzan) method?

Finally, someone noticed my gaff!  I made it.  Fishermans Warehouse has the hooks for $6 or so, which I wrapped onto the bamboo using nylon line and then coated the line with epoxy.  I shellacked the bamboo but it's all worn off now and I plan to redo it with yacht varnish.

I can kick ya down a length of suitable bamboo if you like.  It's STRONG and floats.

I love my gaff.  It's got none of the class or beautiful workmanship of a Kuntz, but it's got personality to spare.
