Just wondering if anyone has had any success stowing a set of wheelez w/ fat tires in the Adventure. I can get the two tires in nicely but the frame just doesn't fit past the mast holder. If anyone has a special technique to get that sucker stowed please lemme know.
Thanks

I think I will strap mine in the tankwell. I don't use up the tankwell space with my other stuff. I will put it under the bungies and leash it. I just got my pimping stuff in the mail yesterday. Ram tube rod holder, Ram ff mounting plate and Ram ball mount that fits in sail mast hole. I just need to go get my Cuda 242 and mount the stuff.

Zee.... I tried inserting my Wheelez cart frame in several ways, but the axle is just a little too long.

On a similar note, I was able to get the drive with turbo fins stowed in the hatch pretty easily.  Just set the pedal arms into the #4 position it'll fit nicely under the hatch of the Adventure.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Until now I've been throwing it in the tankwell like amphibian. Good deal on getting the drive into the yak. I'd never thought of changing the pedal settings... duh! :smt101 Looks like an easy fit when set like that.

I know this is an old post, just found it and thought I'd throw this out there in case it might be helpful to the fellow hobiers. If you unscrew the sail mast tube, you can fit the wheels and frame in. It's kind of a hassle but works. Might want to be careful in rethreading the mast as it is plastic. Not sure if messing up the threads would do any concernable damage. I find that if you gently counterscrew first, it seems to go in nicely(believe I picked up that counterscrewing tip from a fellow ncka'er post)

I like to keep the wheels in the hull for the possibility of needed flotation and the cart on hand(never know when you might need that also)

Had the same issue with a Mini-X. Solved it by carrying a small socket wrench and taking the 2 bolts out that connect the axle to the upper frame on the Wheelez - breaks down in to 2 pieces that could be stowed under the center hatch on the Mini. Only took a a minute or two to reassemble.

On my Tarpon I can fit the fat wheels inside like Zee mentioned, but ran into the same problem with the axle length, only on the Tarpon it's the darn front hatch diameter that is about an inch too small.

I remove the axle pins and stow them in the boxtop tray of my Plano (with a set of spares) and then lash the frame upright along the right side of the tankwell. I just put a little loop of line on the nearest deck loop, and use one of my cam straps to threaded through the loop to secure the frame. I usually swing any fish into the well from the left side, so the frame doesn't block my access to the well.
