Got to the beach @ 7:ish....launched with EricB.(pic1) to a calm-fogged-over ocean. I planned to target Cabbies in the shallows to the north....after I get this 24.5 Ling out of the way first(pic2&3)....I haven't shaved since before Elk, got a ling everyday I fished, and wanted to continue the "streak".
We then paddled north to the rocky point, in hopes of bigger&more.

.....promising to stay small, I drop a squid'd white scampi ALL DAY LONG.
Eric went all the way through the rocks(pics4&5) and got a few RF I think. I logged in 8mi. of hunting in 6hrs.
Eric did get 2 Cabbies, around the mouth, that he released.....good guy that Eric!
We eneded the day at 2pm...trying to beat the friday traffic.

Our best action happened in shallow waters 15'-40'.....No fish were found deep.

the swell was [email protected]. bouy winds were 10kts....the Bean was kind as we left! (pic6)
p.s....My head started to itch, so I shaved it, but kept the beard.....planning to continue my streak this weekend....stand by :smt044

Wish I could have joined you guys. Stupid office job got in the way.
Conditions were good Saturday as well. It did seem the bite was on in the shallow water, but the big fish that rocked me & broke off was in over 70ft.
Beautiful blue ling! The Cab I brought home on Saturday was that same bright blue, inside n out!

I see you guys got into them (will reply later,STUPID office job is cutting into MY time)
and then got a call from Mooch, telling me his gonna hit it with the *HAC in the morning...i tell him I'm not felling it, but at 3:30a.m. "I FELT IT" got up, loaded up all my stuff and was at the Bean by 6:15....but no Mooch or HAC insight...hung out, drove down to pigoin pt. to call him on the pay phone, but no answer. I then drive to OceanBeach(S.F.) to chech the surf/waves, hightide is smothering the surf, so I go home.....the bean was DOABLE again on sunday, but no one to go out with.
lets see what this weekend brings.

Those wash rocks up north were a blast to paddle thru...  But I don't think the shore fishermen appreciated me cutting thru there.  They were casting bobbers WAY out there.

Nice ling!

I had no idea cabbies came in blue too.
