Just got home from Elk yesterday, cleaned all the gear and repacked it, ready to go... We have been seriously denied any love from the bean in our two previous trips out, soooo the third time has to be it, right? Plan to try again this Sat. am. Come and join in, the fish have just got to be there.

NW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 6 FT.
NW SWELL 4 TO 6 FT AND S 1 TO 2 FT. PATCHY FOG.

At least thats what I understand from the forecast. I'm still a newb at this tho'.

I'll make the call tomorrow, but I will probably drive up to check conditions as I too have been waiting,...and waiting...and waiting for Bean to light up this year.

I sure would like to see a forecast of flat water with no wind, but all the same we are planning to be there early and see for real what the conditions are. I drove by there last Wed. on the way to S.F. and it was a lake, flat as could be at 9am. Frustrating after one more hard outing just a couple of days earlier. So, we will be there unless the forecast is very, very ugly to check it in person. My hope is to hit it early before the wind comes around.

Forecast for sat. am looks like wind at 5mph and surf at 4-5' if I read this correctly. That's a go for us.

OK TY. We plan to arrive close to 6 and jump on the water asap. Pplan is to paddle out and north a fair distance, drift back, catch quality fish, go home and have fish feast. Well, one can hope anyway. See you there.
