Just picked up a tandem Hobie Mirage the other day with my minivan. Had to bring it home like this!

Little bit tricky getting it up there solo, but it rides fine.

I know the picture has a raft, but I can also put a kayak up there or put it inside the box an close it up

Got Thule pads, and a Yakima Showboat to roll the thing up top.
Sure do miss my Silverado....

New way to roll for 2021.  mocked up and it looks like itll work out.

built the truck up for overlanding.  and now i can overland with a kayak.  i made a high security tunneau cover, and added 4 crossbars along the bed rails.  i wanted a roof top tent, but also wanted to carry my kayak.  so i added rollers on the bars.  loading is a breeze now.  if i take the tent off, i can carry 2 more kayaks on top.
