Chadrock is a poster on this site. I believe he did the custom work on the mooch truck, back in the day.

First trip with my completed camping/kayak trailer. Forgot to take pictures with it at the camp ground but it was everything I wanted it to be!

Here is my system. Cheap and effective. Four tie down hooks bolted to old but very strong 1/4 fiberglass camper shell. Two 2x4's cut with sawsall to form a cradles for two yaks. Cover with pipe insulation. Wrap with duck tape. Drill through 2x4's. Make rope loops. Attach rope. Put nose of Adventure on tailgate. Reach inside drivewell and raise nose to camper shell. Lift and slide yak onto cradles from stern handle. Flip ropes over yak and cinch and tie down. Ready to roll.

I did make a skid plate out of olive barrel pvc to protect yak stern while sliding on hard rough surfaces.

DIY truck rack on my '07 Dodge...some Yakima parts to make the ride a little more comfortable...ready to roll. Spent $45 on the steel to make the rack and a couple days welding it together.  It works like a champ. Wish I got better gas mileage tho, speedy takin road trips.

I sold my tacoma and bought a 2005 Chevy 2500 Duramax with a 6 speed manual  :smt003 The only picture i have is with my fiberglass war horse in tow cause i havent got my racks on my canopy yet. Cant wait to set it up with a raised platform in the canopy for sleeping and fishing rod/ rifle storage under it.
