I had to make up for my botched halibut take-downs...

Launch:  2:00pm
Land:    5:30pm
Where:  HMB Big Rock/Boil & Kelp Beds
Water:  Warm/warmer, easy swells, felt like a slow drift
Wind:   What wind?  5kts or something...
Fish:  5 Rockfish, just fished enough for dinner for 4 people.

Two trips in one day! Thanks for the invite to ARW. HMB is my favorite place, fishing or not. Big rock boil; is that the rock that shows its head at low tide in the bouyed off section?

Nice dinner shots, GA.  Thanks for the report and way to go on getting out on the water and reporting back.   :smt001

hey, nice catch!    HMB is just over the hill from my San Mateo location.    Is the water rough out there, or is it calm enough for a new kayak fisher to try?    I think i should take a safety class before i get into anything too gnarly.
