Wow! Great post for sure. Makes me a little homesick for my monterey county roots. My hat's off to all for that kayak cliff rappel. Way to go!

:smt006 I had a blast this past weekend. When Angel told me to go fishing on Friday I never expected a weekend like we had. We fished Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was a blast and nothing can compare to it. Adam it was a blast fishing with you on Sunday and I would hands down do it again. Can't believe I went down to kayak with it was so worth it. Some day I will catch me red.  :smt013
What else could someone ask for: good friends, good food, awesome fishing and quality time with Angel  :smt008:fish :fish It was an awesome experience :fishing1

Very good times...  I think one thing that may have been lost in all of the fun here on this thread is a "Thanks!" to my primo da Mooch and to his buddy that let him borrow the awesome pad.

I don't know how many other people turned him down before I finally made it on the list but I'm glad I finally did.   :smt003

WOW guys! And Liz!
That is an incredible report.

I am just so jealous that you guys launched from my secret shore spot! I have fished from the rocks at that exact same spot about 15 times, no joke. And each time I dreamt about launching my kayak. Thats a tough rocky launch. I'm still trippin that you went there. StraightTrailBlazin! But now I have to try it too LOL!

Thanks again for teh report+pics+info,
PK

Great reporting Art and all. Thank you again to the mooch.

It was quite funny getting to the water on Sunday. Liz carried various light gear down. Mooch went missing for the heavy lifting so I had to carry that prowler down to the water myself. Angel started asking about what's in my water when I carried the yak back up the hill at the end of the day!

Yep, I have a new found respect for Brian.  That man is a beast.  He carried the yak down the hill alone, carried his personal stuff down, and then on the way back he carried the yak up the hill alone again after having carried his own stuff up to the trucks...then he came back down and helped me to carry Art's Marauder up most of the way.

I don't know what they put in the water down in Lodi, but I think I'll buy a few gallons of it from you per month if you don't mind.

Art, you are one of a kind (smart slacker latino poet bar fly fish killer? (SSLPBFFK?)) (that one of a kind part might be a good thing), great report. who did the artistic ferrrrrrrnando carving? a true ar-tist whoever weilded the knife.

I think Brian G is under 30, that might be his secret! But for sure any time you meet somebody and they say they played water polo competitively, give them a little respect is my experience. they might look like male cheerleaders,  :smt044, but they hold their own.

Brian G, my yak is heavy and I am old, but my wallet does not flinch at the pump, and my truck is big, so if you can get to my house, you got a ride to big sur, anytime!  :smt002
