Anybody up for a Mendo coast trip Monday?  Looks like light wind and small mixed swell.  The launch spot is negotiable, would be willing to do a dive if interested as well, but mainly want to hit the rockfish as I have no fish in the freezer.

I have not abs in my freezer.  Do you have spot in mind?

Hey Doug,

I have two spots in mind for a dive and fish.  At Van Damme I have a good spot to dive from the Kayaks at that typically has nice size abs and clear water close to the launch and some good ling and rockfish holding spots there as well.

Another option would be Caspar cove.  I know of a diving spot that gets overlooked close to the beach and then some great reefs outside the cove that hold quality lings and assorted rockies.....

Been thinking of trying at Russian Gulch one of these days, though I have not spent much time there, so I would be more confident at either of the other two.

Tides are a minus very early in the morning on Monday, so an early dive would be best, but not critical for either spot.  Launching conditions will likley be better at Van Damme with the tide and mixes small swell forcasted for that morning.

Let me know if that sounds workable....
