Hit Tahoe early morning Friday to do some recon and build some GAF.
Checked out the water from Cave Rock to Zephyr Cove.
The water temp was brisk but flat with no wind.
The lake is getting low. Now is the time to jump on th NCKA clubhouse. My favorite house on the lake between Cave Rock and Zephyre Cove has a granite boathouse that is not accessable because of the exposed rocks and the sandbar blocking the entrance. Would be the perfect NCKA pad. See pics
The minnows I got there last time were dinks but they seem to be beefing themselves up a bit. See pic.
No shore anglers I talked to caught anything. I did see a nice one break the surface close to shore.
Be thankful you have a kayak as gas at the docks is a KILLER! See pic.
The scenery is always beautiful ( see pics )
Changing your pants on a kayak followed by a self rescue ( with a lot of assistance ) is priceless.
As I was checking out the bottom of the lake I couldn't help noticing how many golf balls are there.
It made me think that an NCKA kayak/dive for trash in Tahoe might be a fun event. Great practice, beautiful scenery, and excellent viz.
Maybe a prize for the most unusual item found.

Nice report and pics Tote.  Please tell me the gas price at the dock is $6.299/gal.  For a moment I forgot that gas stations like to add that 0.9 cents per gallon thing and thought the price was $62.99/gal.  Either way ouch. I really think kayak fishing is going to see a sudden boom in popularity do to it's inherently "green" nature.

Tremendous pictures and BEAUTIFUL "scenery."  You have got one hell of a girlfriend if she is letting you pose with the ladies.

BTW, the minnows, are they trout or truly minnows?

I can only imagine the price tag on the house ... er ... NCKA clubhouse.

Tote-

Hot diggidy dawg...! I love Tahoe in the summer. Lots of goodies to look at all over that lake. That place has been a tough one to fish though. One day it's on, the next it's off. But a few minutes on the beach will wash the skunk off in a good way.

It's all good...
