Swell was small, but the minus lowtide made for large waves, starting at the mouth....EricB, Ride123 and myself waited out the window and went for it w/o problems. Fishing was SLOoooOOO! Tin/VWTech made in out when Eric gave up....We fished hard for a couple of cabbies and a few rockies,  with calmer conditions than the morning sicness had to offer.  You guys make the call!
We didn't get bit till 40-50 fow.
I'm gonna pass for the sat. run.....There just aren't cooperative fish there right now......

Thanks for the report, FH. I hate it but I may have to bail out for tomorrow. I'm not sure if I have the equipment  I need.

Adam, I waved at you as you were heading back home around 1430hrs. or so. The Family and I were on our way to the Bean to Boogy board. Did you see the crazy guy waving at you from the Silver Pilot? It was gorgeous out there non the less and we caught some great surf in the bowl. Frank

you guys fished outside 40-50 and did not get bit or inside 40-50 and did not get bit?

did you fish anything small? did you fish bait?

I was feeling like today would be the day for the bean, but probably you still have to go deeper, fish smaller, and use some bait.

All the above...except for fishing small.....Everything I sent down was BIG and SquidTip'd.

After starting our hunt in  -50fow and having NO ACTION. Went out to 70' with same results....I did some sm.Blacks, but I don't count those as fish.

Tin and I finally had some action in 40-50fow, between the NorthernBigRock and the BeanMouth, drifting the drops.

My only "real fish" was a 18"Cabbie that hit one of my "secret" lures.....PapaBills'ProvenCustomCabbieBuster!!~~Bill told me it would DO THE JOB!
THANKS Papa! :smt008

It was a beautiful day, one of the nicest days I've experienced at BH!  I stuck fairly shallow and had one bite only...  Adam was further out.

I would have stuck it out longer, but I launched without my jacket, figuring we would be baking out there in the sun but it was just windy and just wet enough to cause that chill to set in after a couple hours and I couldn't shake it.  Another lesson learned.

Nice to meet ya, Dave, and sorry you forgot your dramamine...  Adam, a pleasure as always...

I tried for an underwater shot of my underling on Sat but your cabby shots came out better.  I think my underwater shot of the same type of jelly was better though.  Nice report.

Great report of another quality NCKA get-together.

Great cabbie shots, but I mostly like the "posse" shot - that's a scary looking trio of fishermen!   I'm glad they're family!  :smt001

NiceGuyEricB on my left needs to "tone it down a bit" he's gonna frighten the children with that look.....it was also "a pleasure" puttin in some long overdue time at the Bean.
I was cold too and paddled around to warm up.....then the wind died and the UVrays started to heat things. I was gonna go in with you, but then Tin/VW-Tech was already out there.....he's on doctors orders to take it easy for the next two weeks...recovering from surgery(What?! ...he was sitting the whole time doc!) I swear!

Et~ the jelly shot was from above.

The face on that cab reminds me of the Jar Jar character from Star Wars I. That leadhead jig looks huge. How much does it weight (if it's not a Bill recipe secret)?
