Started the day by first heading to the Sportmen's in Castro Valley only to be told that they were out of minnows. Headed to Del Valle with my only weapon old school 'Chovies that were ripe and smelling good.
Got to Del Valle and Pat introduced me to his brother Billy and then Kevinn shows up ready to do battle. P2140101
What a beautiful day after showing the fellow how to rig the 'Chovies we cross the calm water and fished the opposite bank where Kevin and I got take downs with Kevin pulling his in. Their is a technique to fishing these 'Chovies but here's Pat ready to pounce on his query and how to set up on your YakP1010085.
We then proceed to Valentines Cove where I met up with a PB friend of mine,Keri< who just had to show off his,Mark and Marty's stringer and do the teaseP1010087.
I had a few take downs but only caught shakers in the 15" classP1010088,
We ended up paddling back to the narrows and hit another spot that was productive the last time Keri and I went out. Pat and his brother departed as well as Keri and his party. I stuck it out and ended up with two keepersP1010089. Kevin rejoined me and I'll let him tell his story about the day.
Keri and crew ended up with a nice stringer of six striper's and two very nice cats. I caught my limit and called it a day around 1830hrs.
