How do you like that costco kayak

The Mainstream brand "Tropic" has over a 300 pound capacity and came with the seat in the photo and a paddle from Harmony for $300 - it's hard to find that kind of deal on a new kayak.  I have two of them which were my number two and three boats after the original Hobie Pursuit that I ended up selling to Asa B. Spade.  Boat number four was the Mainstream "Tango" - the tandem version with a big capacity, two seats and two paddles for $415.  Lots of fish caught in the ocean on all those boats.  I got better use out of the Scrambler XT with two flush mounts and a hatch for $700, and now the X-Factor (for too much $!   :smt003), but the cheaper boats still have their places.  I'll probably get the first use in nearly a year out of the Scrambler next month in Tahoe - I can't be hauling the X-Factor that far.

I'm definitely counting on another hookup with you (and Chub?), Mike, and thanks for the offer, Bigfoot.  My in-laws have a nice pad at South Lake, so we're set for accomodations.  We do a couple of days at Sand Harbor, so I plan to go dawn patrol there at least one day.  I'll post a true hookup for it in mid July or so.   :smt001

I used to hike by that bouy back in 85-88 when I was @ HSU!!  Heading down to Punta Gorda and staying in the lighthouse keepers cabin there.  I pulled abs off the beach there too.  Thanks for the memories!!!
