I was checking out Alan's day on Mendo... anyone else had luck (or Alan's misfortune of catching 3 stripers :fishing2)  If so... where to fish and what to use.

Thinking of going this weekend,

Hello "Divndc",  Click on the "stripers on kayak at Lake Mendocino" article to the left of this page as these tutorials are fantastic. I was in the dark about fishing Mendo until I ran into my first NCKA'er (Mako1) on that lake who introduced us to this site and gave me a few on the water pointers that day. Send me an e-mail (sent you one already) and I will tell you all I have learned........... 99% of it from this site and it's members. Hope to see you on the water and share my misfortunes. :smt055     Allen

Hey divndc,

REad up on what otobepelagic posted. I may be going up there on Sunday and you're welcome to hang out with us if I do.

The sharing of info here is very cool and a special thing.  Learn what you can from the posts and articles, divndc, but also consider dropping the dime and hiring the experienced and personable guide who lives there - Sean White.  I know that when I finally hit Mendo I'll be looking to tap into his wealth of knowledge and will want him on the water with me, so I don't mind throwing down his fee in exchange - in support of the brotherhood and a fine individual.   :smt056

I am a licensed guide.  DFW Guide ID:  1000124.   Let's do a trip together.

It is going to be hard to get a hold of Sean for awhile. He's down in Mexico. Good luck tho.
