Its a free program folks, and I use it extensively to plot fishing hot spots and other info.  How about a Google Earth link with the best haul out/launch spots for an archive on this forum?

I think it would be a great resource.  I am not thinking of blowing up secret spots or anything....Just reference to the best local spots to launch and beach..........You could even add recommended campgrounds, restaurants, tackle stores...............

What do you think?

Check out the WIKI

Here is Trinidad Pier.  Minus all the placemarks I added over years of fishing this pier.  I actually have specific hot spots on my main map that are consistent producers year after year.

I use it as a tool to plot catches, good ab finds, specific campground sites I have been and want to get to again, favorite hunting areas, areas to avoid....

pretty useful............even looked up the house in Anchorage that I grew up in.

I also mentioned in another post that I use it to choose areas of the coast to pick abs in windy conditions or in larger surf.  Plot the direction of the surf or wind and see if you can find a spot that looks like it is sheltered by cliffs  etc

Always wanted to rockpick and shallow water dive Elk for abs.........this view is a big help

Google Earth is awesome, and I use it all the time.  I've "visited" places I've traveled, childhood homes, places to yak, etc., and when driving/traveling to a new spot I always do a point to oint "flyover" first in GE.  Very very useful.
