5/30 Stillwater

Mike Solsrf1 and I will be driving down to Stillwater this Fri. for some rock fishing.
Will be there at dawn. Ch 69. Company welcome.

If I carpool with you, do we have to talk the whole way down there? I would like to do a little catnappin on the way.....but I'll act like i'm listening though.

You guys are killing me with the weekday trips in my backyard.

I may need to schedule a checkup with Dr. Hunter and Dr. Fishing for Friday morning  .  It could keep me out of the office until noon or so.  Oh the scheeming.  I also have a tentative plan for Saturday so it may be streaching it a little bit to also fish Friday but I have not been out on the ocean kayak fishing since........uh.....Tuesday so I really need to get out again to get the skunk off.  I think four days on the water Sun through the next Saturday should be the minimum every week.

Let me see what I can do.  What time do you think you will get to the launch?

Were planning on leaving the east bay around 0400hrs which should put us there around 0530hrs. Solet's say 0600 to 0630 on the water

Okay guys give up some quality directions. The last time I was there was in the 80's and I was depending on Mike for directions. So whom ever can chime in please do so. Thanks Frank

Here we go.....

Take Hwy 1 South to the Pebble Beach/ Pacific Grove Gate for the 17 Mile Drive, it will be straight ahead at the stoplight at the end of the exit.  Once past the Ranger Station, take the lower road to your left.  Follow the road until you get to the 1st entrance to Pebble Beach, I believe it is the Casa Palermo entrance.  Follow that road nearly all the way down to its end, and then turn left where the sign indicates Beach Club and Coastal Access.  It will bend to the right as you go.  You enter the parking lot for the Beach Club, and the loading/ unloading area is at the very end.  You will need to go back and park your vehicle in the small public lot on your left.

Not sure I'm up for waking up at 0dark:30, but I'll try.  Hopefully I'll make to help, and get help, with the unload.  See ya.

Frank - are you fishing Saturday as well? I just found out I'll be doing my first Ocean dive - for my scuba class at Monterey on Saturday the 31st. I plan to bring my yak with me and see if I can fish after class is over.
