Decided to give Paradise a try this morning.  Arrived around 9:30 or so after a late start.  As soon as I stepped foot outside of my truck when I arrived, I heard a bunch of cheering from the pier.  Someone just landed a 36" butt.

I trolled some of the finest frozen anchovies from about 10:00 until 1:00.  I boated 2 just barely keepers that I decided to release and let grow a little bigger.

Right on, Jason!  Thanks for the report and welcome to this site.   :smt001

I drove by there on my way home from a conference around 2 and thought of the yakkers!

Additional credit for the releases - excellent.   :smt045

Hello Jason: Thanks for the report.  I primarily fish areas around Alameda and Richmond for Stripers, but I didn't think you could launch at the Paradise Park.

Can you launch there?  Thanks!

Steve H.

I had no problems launching there.  I did bring my wheels which in my opinion are a must have.  It is a pretty steep path from the nearest parking area to the water.    The cost was about $8 to park.

I launched just to the left of the pier off of a short little concrete grade down to the water.

Thanks Jason, for the reply.  Report-trolled/cast near the rocks Sunday at the San Leandro Channel near Alameda with my fly rod and 300 grain sinking line.  No takers.  Could not put in at Richmond, absolutley insane with large boats.  No need to re-make another "Death Wish" movie.  Good fishing to you.

J.

Thanks for the report on the halibut.
Better luck on the size next time, maybe you should borrow my stretcher?
