I know many people are going for RF opener, but the swell seems pretty big :smt012, so I might just go to Bay (Paradise or somewhere) to get some butts...
Anybody up for it?

Awesome, kayakjack!
Paradise it is!
The park opens 7am, so we'll be there around that time.
We probably gonna troll some popsicles until the wind picks up...
Make sure to bring the wheels!
See you at there w/ CH69! :smt006

I had a last-minute cancelation for tomorrow thus I'm going fishing too... and it's looking too windy/swelly for me on the big blue tomorrow, so the bay for halibut it is...

My plan was to hit the Alameda Rock Wall after picking up some live shiners at Mike's Bait in Oakland (opens at 7:00am)... I don't think I'll make it to Paradise, but if anyone else wants to join me at the ARW, give a shout on Ch69.  Should be deserted tomorrow compared to the 150+ boats there over the weekend...

Sounds good to me... ARW is a good place to learn... minimal current, and any wind blows you back to the launch... I will be at Mike's Bait in Oakland tomorrow morning at 7:00am so I should be at the ARW launch by 7:45 (give or take).  I'll pm you my cell digits... give me a call if you have any specific questions.

(and welcome to da madness)

Mike's is at 1805 14th Ave. in Oakland... he has live shiners.

The marine forecast indicates it may still be a bit breezy in the morning... I'm gonna give it the old college try and hope it's not whitecapping at 8:00am like today and yesterday.
