I go by Yakhopper, but my name is Eric
I am the manager of Fisherman's Warehouse in Fresno
I will be fishing a different lake local to the Fresno area on the third sunday of each
month (4th in June due to Fathers day) from may through september.
If any yakers would like to join me, I will be giving away some goods from
the store for the best three limits at each location. I will also enter a ticket
into a drawing each time someone joins me. These tickets will determin
who will receive a new Prowler 15 at the end of September.
I am doing this because I love kayak fishing and want to get others into
this great sport.
This is a free and friendly offer.
If you would like to join me, or have any questions
call me at
(559)225-1838
Let the fun begin

Sounds interesting Eric.  Will you post where you'll be fishing or do we need to call?

Also, any specific species and how do you plan on determining "best three limits?"

F.Y.I.
That's one raffle ticket (for the kayak) each time you join me, plus prizes at each event, plus prizes for overall angler.
All this and no entry fee.
Just fun.

I've been contemplating but Fresno is a long freakin haul.  I may be able to do one, just not sure which one yet.

I definitely applaud your idea Eric.  You are doing it for all the right reasons, that's for sure.

Excellent ideal yak hopper. ( I named the little fellow by the way).
Come on down guys. Our lakes are looking good ,and there just prime for kayakfishing.
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

Oh man, where was this last year or the year before.  My wife's family is in Clovis and I used to drive down there about once a month from Sonoma County and had nothing to do while I was there (other than hang out with my in-laws).  Now I'm in Oregon and my trips down to the Fresno area have all but disappeared.

Eric -

I think my wife and I will try to make the July 20 = Courtwright Res. Trip. Have relatives in Clovis so it is good WAF.

Thanks to all who joined me at shaver on May 18
We had a total of 18 anglers join in on the fun.
First place was a tie between Robert K. and Bob S.
after a coin toss Bob S. took first for a new Ambassadeur
Kokanee special reel and Lamiglas Kokanee rod worth $150.00
Robert K. took second place for a tackle Pac valued at $100.00
and Britnee G. took third which gave her an Extrasport lifejacket
worth $85.00
Wish I had more pictures but had camera trouble.
