Elk OPEN

Let the games begin!  Please send and email to [email protected] entitled either "Elk: non-resident" (if you do'nt live in Mendo co.) or "Elk: resident"

The first 50 non-resident emails will get emailed a reg. packet later today.  Additional entries will get an email stating there place on the wait list.  You have 10 days to mail (as in US Mail) the signed hard copy w/ payment to:

If you change your mind or don't make the 10 day time line your spot will be offered to someone on the wait list.

Residents will have no time constraints.  However please send me an email ASAP so I can get an idea of the total head count.

Respect will be bestowed on past champs (bsteves, Kunz, and JTF), they will  have a space reserved and will not count against the 50.

If you don't get in....please DONT FREAK OUT.  It almost always works out for everyone by the time the event rolls around. Patience.

Finally...if you are a newbie with zero or limited saltwater and surf launching experience this is NOT the event for you.  Just because your willing to sign a waiver doesn't mean I am willing to watch you perish...this is a serious launch that has had BIG water outside 2 out of the past 3 years.  If I think your not ready, I reserve the right to tell you so and deny your application.
