I knew the wind was coming, Butt, I had to give it a go after all those Great Reports out of Richmond
this weekend. It was windy in the El Sobrante Hills @ 6am, but decided to try anyway. Arrive @ the

Marina Bay Parkway Launch,  "MBPL" for now on,   arrived a little late, 0800hrs, 6 boats working the
South East side of Brooks Island. and only a light breeze :smt001

What is really kool about this launch is it is a strait shot to the
South East side of Brooks Island, part of the reason I'm posting this, so you can see the positioning

Got about a Hour in, and then it Came, and HARD :smt010, I had the wind break from Point Richmond and Brooks Island and still got my butt kicked. if I was out in the main part of the Bay, this would have been tough.

No love, and only saw one shaker taken on a PB,

  I'll Be Back...............

Ya, you just follow the rd till it ends in the parking lot shown in the pics. "Vincent Park"

Look in " Hook Ups "  for the Saturday halibut hunt. There were some great maps put up for that.

 Might see ya there thursday.....

Danglin,  Hope You brought swim goggles for all that saltwater spray. It sure is nice to have a rudder system on all the wind. Great pictures and post.

Considering the fact that the temp was 20 degrees higher than on Thursday and that the high pressure cell moved through quickly (bringing the temp back down 20 degrees), the wind is not a surprise.

No wonder the sailors love the bay for sailing. Ben's right that paddling is tough in the bay it's like having two mini sails that push in different directions at once. Nice shots.

Glad you made it back in one piece D. Reminds me of a day I had a few weeks ago in the sound. The mirage drive sure does it's thing in conditions like that.

Z,

That looks a Tad More Burly than My Bay Slappers,...

I purposely pick this area because of it's close proximity to safety and wind breaks knowing the wind

 was coming,

It was just Amazing to me How fast this Wind came in and How powerful it was, close to glass,

then 2' white caps with in 5 minutes time,  Gots to be careful out there,

Nice shots of the Burly Sound... :smt004
