Well, I got out there at sun-up today, tides are perfect.  Same basic patterns as before.  I went to the spot where I got a good near hook-up on a worm yesterday: fish on for 30 sec, then it just came unbuttoned; but that was yesterday.  Today, same spot, second cast, I feel the softest little TICK--wait a second, and BAM--set the hook and hold on.  Its another big bass.  She came up and did one great head shake.  I took her into deeper water and she worked me for about 3-4 minutes.  Taking line out, up and down like a yo-yo.  Finally boated her, what a fish!  9 pounds 1 ounce!  Second nine pounder this week!  But wait, the banks are empty, no PBers going by, so sad: a super fish and no-one to take the picture.  A lap shot does this fish no justice, but here it is anyway.

It was slower after that, with some fish on spinner baits and worms, up to two-three pounds.  Then as the tide was about half way out, I dragged/trolled my swimbait again.  SLAM!  A fat 4 pound 10 oz bass.  Seven fish this morning for a five fish limit of just over 20 pounds.

This evening I hooked-up with Jeff at his spot in Mildred.  Very nice spot, tons of fish, stripers and bass.  I picked up three stripers (17 inches, 22 inches and 14 inches??) and two black bass about 1 to 2 pounds.  Thanks Jeff for sharing your spot.  I'll hook-up again with ya there, and hopefully the tides will be up and the winds will be down!

See ya'll out there!

Bryan

If I can catch fish like that in my backyard, why did I drive 2.5 hrs to clear lake last weekend?  Awesome report Bryan!

How close are you, Ben? Seems like Antioch is much farther north than where White Slough is.

I was exaggerating.  Compared to Clear Lake, the delta is right next door.  My drive to some of HobieBlue's launches is under 1 hour.

I might have to work saturday, but even if I do, maybe a midday launch will work.  I can definitely make it on Sunday.

But wait, the banks are empty, no PBers going by, so sad: a super fish and no-one to take the picture.  A lap shot does this fish no justice, but here it is anyway.

looks like time for the vanity mount! see hydrospider's setup,  :smt001

What does hydro have set up???  I was thinking of some way to take my own pics, but I'm not sure how to do it.  Anyway, it has been a great week so far.  Hopefully, I have not worn out my luck.

He has a mount made of pvc, I think, that holds the camera for a self portrait.  You could probably do a search for "vanity mount", or send him a pm.

Also check out Zeelander's vanity mount.  He just created one for his Hobie.
