Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Sean said there has been some theft and vandalism at Yorty which is why I decided to launch from the main rec area. What time does the main rec area/launch open?

looks like I'll be parking at the main area too and doing the safe LOOOONG haul up the narrows to camp.     Damned poochers!   :smt013

Im in, be there Sat morn. Ive overnighted there many times, no prob, but times is hard...
Ill just empty the truck so they cant steal sh*t. BTW you dont need wheels so you dont have to worry about leaving em in the truck. Lots of people fish all night there, they park outside the gate and huff it in past the lot, good op for a thief for sure. Like to hook a shark sheild up to my truck.

Chuck are you bringing the Bow?
Yup.

I plan get to the visitor center when they open at 6am, park and launch at Yorty Creek, paddle to Thumb Camp to unload some gear, do a little bow hunting early, and then start fishing mid-morning.

In February, Zilla and I parked at Yorty Creek for two nights without any incidents.  The gate is locked at night and you need to have a combination lock to get in/out.  We encountered a ranger patroling the ramp when we launched and when we got back.  It seemed safe enough to me.

Thanks for the info Chuck I'm launching at the main ramp 6:30/7
If you are going to park at the main ramp and don't have a trailer you don't need to pay. The girl at the Center told me if you are going to park over night at Yourty ?? you have to wait till 8:30 when the center opens. I am going to troll up the East side of the lake and arrive at thumb at 1 or so unless the fishing or wind tells me other wise.
