Dino Fishing on San Pablo Bay

I have a Prowler 15 and have been thinking of doing some dino fishing. Do you guys drift fish or anchor? Any concerns about being taken far "down stream" by the tide or a big fish? I've seen some strong currents on San Pablo Bay while PB'ing which would make it difficult to get back to the launch point.
