Hit the river by myself  :smt010. But that's okay, the weather was stunning and I finally landed a steelhead in the yak!
I fished the lower south fork in pretty good water water conditions, and during the course of the day I saw it murk up just a little. No other people or boats to be seen.
I'm looking to go again and would still like to do a float. What I did yesterday was to put in a hole and fish above it and below it, not really a drift.
The weather was nice in that it would pour hard, then the sun would come out in all its' glory and dry me off. Repeat all day long.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Way to go Mako1,

Nice fish! I'm glad to see some one out and enjoying Mother Nature!

Like to read more on your technique to catch that Chrome'r!

I'm doing the mental gymnastics but I can't figure out how you took that first picture?  Is the hat in your lap, or is the camera above your head. If the latter, how'd you do that?!

Way to get out into the elements and bag the chrome.

Yakuza, I held the camera over my head with both hands. I was praying that the whole fish and trough would show up. It did!

Way to go, Juan!  Great shots.  Is that around Gould Bar?  Williams Grove?   :smt001

Is the river blown out up on the South Fork?

After that 10 mile drift with Mickfish last Monday, I know how challenging it can be to catch one.

Juan... Congrats on landing your 1st yak steelhead!!!!

Eric, the pic of my truck is at Landsdale, I hooked the fish at Gould's.
I don't think the upper Eel blew out, just picked up some flow.
