An 18 inch cabby seems pretty wimpy to me. It's only a few inches above being legal.

The salmon seems small too, but given that there are only going to be kokanee and land-locked kings on the board this year, 25" might be a hard fish to find.

Now the 36" trout, if you do nothing else, I'll be impressed.

Mr. Bluejeans... more power to you if you can pull that one off. I've always said that 9 quality fish could win this thing. I've yet to prove it but... maybe you can. You better get on your horse too... you've got some serious ground to cover... Even my girlfriend has more points than you do right now. I'll be looking for the cream to rise to the top of the AOTY leader board.

Tight lines,

Freddie

Those points were from only a few hours of fishing after work!  :smt011

Just messing with you... you did say "smack talk" didn't you. It's all I got right now... :smt001  But seriously... I'd love for somebody to prove me right and win this thing with 9 fish.

Shimmy-

That's a hell of a lot of points. Especially since nobody scored more than 1500 yet. But, I hear you... it's going to take one hell of a year to get up there this year. There are a lot of top class anglers in this, who have the time to put on the water. Most of us are just squirrels looking for nuts. There are a few out there that are hawks eating up the squirrels. I just don't want to get gobbled up by October.

Not only are my initials BS, but one of my degrees is a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.
That's right...my initials could read B.S., B.S., B.S.

My Dad always had a sign hung up in his den that said.. "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh&t"  I'm starting to wonder if it wasn't the family crest/motto.

All kidding aside.. sorry about the salmon dig.   Unless you go out and get one soon Abking, my prediciton is that when the season closes early everyone will be scrambling for kokanee.  After all, last year there was a full salmon season and only a couple AOTY ocean salmon were boated.  My own AOTY salmon last year was of the non-ocean going variety.  It turned out to be the lowest scoring AOTY fish of 2007.

Hopefully my move to Oregon will get me into more salmon this year.

does anyone fish for salmon in the rivers... like the feather up in the low flow or anything like that... easy salmon for the tally there... unless they close that too!
