Hi just got off the phone with the head ranger @ the lake and he said no wet boats are going to be allowed on the water. Inside and out. They will be inspecting inside the hatch and every were else with a magnifying glass. Each inspection they will do is about 8 min long. Dumped about 2000 lbs of fish middle of month.Andy, See you out there Monday! :sunny:

Dang. I usually load my kayak on my car the night before so that means condensation on the boat in the morning. I guess I'll have to load it up in the morning to avoid a wet yak. I have a bad back so I'll be showing up on Monday with an already stiff back  :smt011

See you guys out there.

Or just take a towel to it before you leave.

Yeah, i was kinda worried about that too, since I do the same.  Think im gonna try and fit the car inside the garage, which hasn't been done since I got my place  :smt003

My buddy with a boat called to see if I wanted to go to the opener on Saturday, I told him I had plans to go Monday.  He has a PB, with an outboard and he had heard of the inspections, but wasn't aware of some of the restrictions.  I told him a few I could recall.  I later called him and gave him the number listed in a post under "Fish talk" and he called.  I wasn't sure if he would be able to launch with his outboard raised out of the water.  After he called, he got his answer.  No.   So it looks like every bass boat now will not be allowed to launch regardless.  He was a little bummed.
I wonder how long these inspections will go on.  All this season I 'm sure, but what about next year? or after that?  Are PB's going to be restricted to run in the ocean only?
Another reason to have a kayak!

We can hope! :smt003   J/K.  Don't want to upset those that also have a PB.  Hey wait, that's me.  Which reminds me, I need to do some minor cosmetic stuff in order to sell my 14' Valco.  The funds will be put towards my next yak. :smt002

PBs will also probably be allowed in the bay & delta.
