Well, it looked like a perfect day to play hooky from work.  I hit the water about 10 AM.  Not a power boat or yak to be seen.  After about an 1 1/2 hours and 5 bait-stealing bullheads later I hooked my first ever Dino !!!!  What a rush !!!  After about 20 minutes of battle it finally came to the surface and started doing several death-rolls, then back down to the bottom.  After another 5 minutes I finally got it along side the yak, that's where the real battle started.  Having never caught a Dino before I had this perfect plan, in my mind, of how I would get it into the yak to measure it.  So much for the perfect plan.  After some wrangling, I finally got it into the yak only to discover that at 44 inchs it was too small to keep. :smt013

My next challenge was to try to get a few pics without dumping me and my camera into the Bay.  As you can see, mission accomplished !!!!! :smt003  The beast was then released without injury to either party.

Caught about 4 or 5 more bullheads and then called it a day.  Perfect day, perfect water, no regrets !!!!

Sounds like mission accomplished indeed. My first was 2 inches shot as well, but knowing you can bait them , hook them, and land them means it's only a matter of time till you fill the SLOT. Let us know when you plan to go again.

Capt. Matt....

The Lord of the Sea was out of ghost shrimp so I had to settle for mud and rock shrimp.  Turns out the Dino was hungry for the rock shrimp.  By the way, sorry I didn't give you a buzz to head out with me !!!!  I thought you were working.  My bad !!!!! :smt010
