Ty's been bugging me to take him fishing and so I closed the store for Presidents day and hit Clearlake. We left Windsor around 10am and headed over the hill.
On the Hopland grade we could see snow on the mountains.

We finally hit the water at around noon. We passed "fishbear" who was on his way in.

There was a P.B. parked on the point I wanted to fish so we hit some docks. I cruised in the shadows and hooked Ty up on a couple nice fish.

The Boat dude finally took off after spiking a 8lb+ Bass. I could hear him screaming and talking on his cell phone ,it was his personal best. As soon as we got to that area we hooked 3 more bass and Ty was getting real hungry so we headed for the barn.
It was a nice father son day!

Awesome father & child bonding time!  Major jealousy on my part because I've got a couple more years until I get to experience that.

Way to stick 'em Ty.  Nice job daddy for putting the little guy on some fish.

The RPer's were great! Ty had his first offer of a drink from a LADY! We played a game of pool and some pinball.
The bass weren't really showing in the shallows for us. The sun was high when we got there, and we had more luck in the shadows of docks and deeper structure.

I have great respect for Shimmyson. Great catch kid my only concern is another legacy coming from that family their won't be any fish left for the rest of us in that lake. Way to go Dad!
