Took a drive out to RS this morning to buy my 2008 gate pass and do a little looking around.
I couldn't have asked for nicer weather..beautiful morning on the water. Lots of bankers at the west end and only 4 boats moving around the lake. I talked to some of the boat people and a couple of guys in float tubes. No fish for any of them. Talked to one banker that caught a trout. Checked the spawning beds..too early for any action there. Water temp (or my hull temp) was 51.8 at 9:15am, 55.8 when I left at 11:30am.

No fishy love for me today, so I'll call this a "Recon" outing. :smt002
Felt great to be on the water again. :smt001

Here's a few pics:

A few of the swans kept an eye on me. I enjoy listening to them grunt and growl.

Wow, beautiful pics.
The last one--single swan feather--is incredible.  :thumleft:
Thanks for the recon info.

Al....you have the best "recon" attitude out there. thanks for the pics!  at least you have a lake where the water touches the veg-line.
