Has anyone ever added on an aftermarket rear window defroster kit? I am thinking about adding one to my campershell rearwindow. I did a bunch of googling and there isn't much that I found useful.

Yeah I ordered one from JC Whitney a long time ago for my jeeps hard top.  I have to say, I wasn't impressed with it.  The heat element for the glass was thick and hard to make stick.  I think I ended up tossin the thing.  This was probably 20yrs ago though I'm sure theres something better today.

Brian I put one from JCW  on my old truck about 10 years ago it worked good for ice but was really slow on condensation unless I opened my slider then it worked ok.

That's a good question. I was thinking the same thing the other morning.
I open the sliders and crank up the heat.

I used to just pour a cup of very warm water on the outside of the window and that was it: the frost cleared up and never came back that day. This was in San Francisco. I don't know how that'd work with the weather where you live.
