I'm not too crazy about bleeding ANY fish in the open ocean...fear of sharks and sea lions....by the way, Shark Week started last night at Discovery channel and the myth buster guys proved that yellow is indeed "yum-yum yellow" to the sharks.  :smt088

...so, having a yellow kayak and a bleeding fish on deck does not seem like a wonderful combination  :smt087 you'll just never know....

I'll only bleed my fish in knee-high water....while Fred P. Savage holds my hand  :smt003

Mooch... you big baby. I don't think I'd want to hold your hand after you've been spanking your fish... actually, I know I wouldn't. Not even after you've washed them... But, I will go "savage" on a shark for you.

not like there aren't hundreds of anchovies being evicerated right under you.
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.

Awesome fish Joel...I usually punch the fish in the head 4 or 5 times and then bleed them. I have a yellow kayak, too. Combined with the bleeding, I might see a great white one of these days!
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

Thanks! Being able to kayak with a GW would be the greatest thrill EVER!!! And being able to live and tell about it would even be better :smt003

Animal planet had a story on GW's.....they mounted a camera below a surfboard and trolled it behind a boat.  A few minutes later....the underwater camera filmed a GW swimming FAST toward the surfboard (from below) very FREAKY footage  :smt118 ...nearly soiled myself to death  :smt088 I have no idea how the camera survived the savage hit from the shark...but the footage is definitely the best one I've seen  :smt023
