One last thing, the reel I used is on sale in the Bargain Cave for $29.99 which means they are probably phasing it out. A decent rockfish reel also although probably won't last more than 2-3 seasons. Pretty smooth drag for a low-cost reel.

Kz I'm just wondering why 6 lbs!? unless you're aiming really deep like for China

I use either 1 1/2 or 2 lbs and it's way more than enough
