Me again.... I forgot the line of the day... Melissa pretty much had enough at this point and she said... "I don't want it anymore... get it off..." I replied... "Whaaa... Do you want the points...? Then, you better land it... you're on your own." She just said, "OK then..."

She's a trooper for sure... with a sore left arm to boot. I'll be hearing about that for a while.

She did.  On Saturday, when Freddie called me, he told me she was already registered and was ready to go with her fishing license, sturgeon card, and a new Baidarka rod.

Sunday morning, Freddie and I were kidding around.  We told her that, with newbie luck and a new rod, she probably had a better chance than us.

I've witnessed the power of newbie luck too many times to doubt that it exists.  It's a freaky phenomenon.

I didn't get anything. But, I get to take both the girl and the fish home... I guess I'm pretty lucky that way. Freddie

When I told my wife this story she reminded me of how she kicked my butt on her first salmon fishing trip.  Newbie luck...believe it.
