I put this in the general section instead of the pic section because it has nothing to do with kayaks or anyone on this site, But sometimes it's just interesting to see what's out there.


This Sturgeon was caught on the Willamette River just below Oregon City.   

It weighed out at over 1,000 lbs and measured out at 11'1". It was 56" around the girth and took over 6 and a half hours and 4 dozen beers for the 4 guys taking turns reeling.



Having grown up in Martinez we used to have a bar downtown that had a few old pics (local) like these on the wall. (Might still be there?)

There's no reason to think we don't have a few like this prowling our waters,,,
