Ive been off the water for a spell with work ,and some kayak repairs and upgrades. I was only out about 4 hours today but getting on the water made me feel like I hadnt really been breathing, AND Ive been wanting to test the new vanitymount.
Perspective improved, I motored to one of my favorite edges. I put the "ultimate swimbait" out, weightless on the drift, then went to work alternating a BIG craw-jig and an even bigger swimbait.
Felt like I was in a good zone with the atrificials but took no victims. One reason that I may not have caught fish, like a real man, could be that my super agents were getting hammered.
Every operative had a hook up but not all made it to the boat. And of course one of those lost was a behometh. Caught fish until all 12 agents were lost, then went to the park.
The new vanity mount has improved my photo op some. But clearly I need to work on my lighting techniques/awareness. I try to get the fish back into the water quickly and usually only allow myself 1 or 2  shots. sometimes, in the heat o battle, I forget things like the sun.
But this fish (V2) was berzerko and deserved a photo.
The fish of the day was 20 or 21" and not very compliant to being measured
It was a day of unhinged bass fishing then ending up at the park, for a pint, clam chowder in a breadbowl, and the NFL network.
If you can get to clear lake before this next system moves in you may enjoy some outstanding bucketmouth action.

Hows that feel Dan?  I need to do blue lakes soon. Ill post up a warning
Mooch, I am slightly unsettled that you are checking me out so closely. Guess I cant blame you, but its the fish that make me look this hot.
Even the lesser fish ,that were found unworthy of posture, were healthy today.

Thanks for the tease anyways.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Sweet job Terry. You have inspired me on the cam mount. I will be working on it soon. Need to get my own camera first.
Looks like I will have to put the 2008 fishing license into effect at CL but not too long after the 1st.
Hope you have a comfortable couch bro.

Cool cool post.  Thanks for sharing the vanity mount trials!  Do you have a remote, or are you setting a timer?  A foot button would be sweet!   :smt001

Andy,  PM me your cell/home# and ill call you in the AM when I get off duty. Im hoping not to get held over again.

Tote,  There is a futon and a few inflatables that are always here for you and chubzilla.
Let me know if I can help on the mount project. Ill be ordering parts this week for what I believe will be the final evolution, but im switching cameras, so who knows. Just picked up the ECOshot.

AK,  The camera is set on a timer. I start it, then put the cam in the mount, pick up the fish and then hope its all lined up. I still bungle alot of shots.
