There's always some really good winter brews out there this time of year. Personally I always like the Anchor Steam Christmas Ale..

But a new find that is this year's fav is Alakan Brewing Co.'s Winter Ale.

So what's your fav? :beer3

Abking, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a favorite of a good friend who knows his beer.   Now I know what to get him for Xmas.  Thanks!  :smt001

Eric,
When I went to HSU, Eel River Brewing Company had a hazelnut porter in the fall/winter that was still the best beer I've ever had.  Could you please check on that for me.

In the meantime lately I've been a sucker for Sierra Nevada harvest brew made from fresh hops, comes in a bottle slightly smaller than a 22. :beer1

Had one the other day - too tasty...   :smt083

The Steelhead double IPA is good too - I think I remember it being so anyway!  (8.6%!)   :tongue11:

Now that's a classic. I think they've changed to the Winter Welcome ale.. also VERY tasty!

Was expecting to hear about Sierra Nevada's brew.. a very classic. Sno Cap is classic and have to check out Bear Republic.

Drink on! :beer3

Its actually a 24oz bottle.  And yes, it was magical (and a giant pain to brew) when it was packaged.
