I haven't taken any underwater photos yet, but I'm happy with the phone so far:
http://www.casiogzone.com/type_v/

And we all need waterproof phones anyway, right?

I sure could use a waterproof phone.  I already dunked and fried two cell phones this year.

As for cameras, I really like the Pentax WP Optio's.  I don't like cameras with mechanical lens covers like the one on the Olympus.  That'll be the first thing to fail when sand gets stuck in it.

I've got a Motorola Razr that I've dunked 3 times now and for some weird reason it's still working fine. The worst one was when I was setting up my yak one morning in the dark and I heard a "kerplunk" in the water. I thought it was a rock or something but checked it w/ my light and was like "that looks like a... sh*t!!" Pulled off the battery cover, it dried out and still works fine. WTF eh??

I just got my Optio and it looks and feels good.   :smt007

Small, simple, no moving lens parts, and I've seen many good examples of it's fine optics.    -Matt
Good choice Matt! it will not let you down...just keep the door locked on the bottom at all times
..and it comes with instant hook-up mojo built inside!  i'm not FOOLIN!   as soon as i got mine, the hookups haven't stoped!!
....kinda

I had mine with me, yesterday, Adam, but no mojo for Hojo, unless you count snagging the camera strap. Arrrghh!!

There was a time when I wouldn't take a camera with me because it meant that I would get skunked.  I finally got out of that rut.

Adam is a magician with the camera. NCKA should nominate him to be the official cameraman at all NCKA events.

Adam's pictures are unbelievable...!!!!...
I have a Optio W-30 and love it, but never imagined using it that way.

BTW.....You guys with Optios......just try this:   Take a Q-Tip and get it wet.
Roll it on your pant-leg to reduce the water.  Open the "battery" door on your Optio and run that Q-tip all around the gasket surfaces.

I predict you will be amazed.....how dirty that Q-tip becomes.

I use a Q-tip on my gasket surfaces EVERY time I open one of those little "doors."
There's no way the camera can remain "waterproof" when the gaskets get that dirty.

geez Adam, those are super nice pics!!!
yeah, I just killed my old sony dropping into the salt water again...  I dropped that think a lot & I dropped into the water a few times but this time it's really fried...
My friend just got Olympus Stylus 770 SW & he likes it alot.  It can go down to 33ft deep & suppose to take good water videos.
I thinking about getting this one.
Anyone has one of those & wanna tell me more about it?
