My son (Patrick) and I fished in front of the boat-in-campsites for wide open stripers on minnows, heddon crankbaits and swimbats.  Our highlight was when I tossed the crankbait into a boil........hook-up ....... then my trolling minnow took off ......a double!!!!!!!!   My son hooked up at the same time....total chaos!   We finished up around 2:00  Nine stripers and one catfish for me and eight stripers for my son, both personal bests. What a beautiful day on the water. We met Kayak Jack just before calling it a day.......the bite had seemed to come to an end.  Our only other visitor was a very small otter who made a quick inspection and disappeared.

Danglin, It is just the angle of the photo and the full size igloo cooler he uses on his Outback. He had four fish caught and released before I could land one. All the fish were released for another day.   You guys have a great site. We have fished on our old dive boards for over 20 years and thanks to your tutorials and info we have really expanded our  fishing.........thanks to All

fishbeware,

Would you be able to post more photos/info on the ice chest setup?  I have a Hobie Outback that I use in bass tournaments and we need a large livewell to keep the bass in.  Right now I'm using a Rubbermaid tote, but it only holds about 8 gallons.

Thanks,

Gordon
