KayakJames,

I was looking over my California Freshwater Game Fishes pictures and the one “that got away” looked more like a salmon.  It had the fuller head and squared off tail of a Steelhead or Coho.  Also the tail was full, not ragged like a large planted trout.  Do you know what kind of salmon they have at Del Valle?

the rumor mill has it that kings and kokes were introduced some years ago and you hear of 1 or 2 getting caught a year. but I have no proof just rumors im sure if its bugging you can research it a little more

P.S. if it was a salmon I tip my hat for the intentional sdr
