I am on a salmon trolling boat out of Emeryville Saturday, 6/27. What size cannonballs should I bring? I have a few 24oz, is that right? And on those boats, do you recommend I use a flasher?

TIA!

From my past experience with Salmon trolling on party boats. They use the 2lb lead balls.

Try asking where you got the tickets,  used to be the skipper would have gear recommendations...

Hey Recon!

I'm interested in a report, planning to give it a go out the Gate on my buddy's boat tomorrow morning and any intelligence would be an asset. Seems hella windy right now.

2# ball and a flasher sounds right.
