Shout out to Old Town

A few weeks ago I went to Whiskeytown for a three day trip. On Saturday morning, the second day, everything went fine. Got near limits of kokanee and headed in for lunch and a nap. We launched again at 5pm. I paddle out a few yards to get deep enough to drop the EPDL drive. Try to turn it on and get nothing. After several repeated attempts and checking the battery and all connections, I give up. The drive wasn't frozen so I just pedaled that night.
 
Once home, I pulled out the VOM and checked everything. I have 39 volts all the way to the cable that plugs into the drive so I know it's not the safety lanyard or any of the internal electrical wires inside of the kayak. I plugged the battery directly to the drive...Nothing. Time to call Old Town.

All it took was one phone call and a short conversation with technical support. They said that they would send me a new drive. All I had to do was send them a pic of the hull # and proof of purchase. The next day I receive a email confirming the shipment from FedEx. All I have to do when it arrives is to re-box the dead unit and return it with the prepaid label they provided. The new drive comes with another two year warranty as well. It should be here in a few days.

How's that for customer service!! This company is tops in my book!!!
